Indian-origin Manjit Singh appointed to key admin post by Barack Obama

Washington, May 14 (UITV)- The White House announced the appointment of an Indian-American engineer Manjit Singh as the member of US President’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.

The announcement came along with several other appointments made by White House said that US President Barack Obama has appointed an Indian-American engineer to a key administration post.

“These fine public servants bring a depth of experience and tremendous dedication to their important roles. I look forward to working with them,” President Barack Obama said in a statement.

Mr. Singh is the founder and president of Agilious, a consulting firm. He has served as the member of the Board of Directors of the Guru Gobind Singh Foundation and also as a Member-at-Large of The Board of the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan in Washington.

Singh received an MS from the State University of New York at Albany and Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Bombay in India.
